Stockholm Buddhist Vihara
Find inner peace and enlightenment through our teachings

Welcome to the
Stockholm Buddhist Vihara
Stockholm Buddhist Vihara is a Buddhist temple of the Theravada tradition. It was established in 1985 by the Sri Lanka-Sweden Buddhist Association in conjunction with the arrival of the first resident Venerable Monk to Stockholm. It is the first ever Buddhist temple that was formed in Scandinavia and the members are mostly of Sri Lankan origin.
Stockholm Buddhist Vihara is open to its members as well as anybody interested in Buddhism and sometimes, for people in need of inner peace at a very difficult situation.
We welcome everyone to join us on the path to enlightenment and inner peace. Our experienced monks and teachers are here to support and guide you on your mindfullness journey.
